Anyone have about 3 to 6 feet of the really small, white, 1/4" backer rod they'd like to sell and ship to me?

I need to make up some of the micro-rags. I'm in need of the backer rod.

I know some of you out there has to have one of those huge 1000 foot rolls of the stuff. Any of you wiling to part with 3-6' of the stuff? Not like I need a lot of the stuff.

I promise to put it to good use!

The stuff I have is closer to 5/8 but I would be happy to send you 6 feet of it Parker. The stuff is inexpensive so dont worry about the money. PM me an adress and I'll mail it tomarrow if you like. -TBJ

If I read the chart correct here is a link for 1/4 white. 50 feet for $3.

There is. Near Boeing field in Seattle. They sell the stuff to the WSDOT. White backer rod is used in paving and road construction allot. I cant recall the company but Ill see if I can find out.

I bought a spool long ago from them and have near a half mile of the stuff still. Its 3/8 th though.
I dont believe the white is made in 1/4.

Never mind.

I actually took a piece of BR and measured it.

Make that 3/8", not 1/4"

D'oh. That might explain when I am not a carpenter!

Feel free to delete this Mods, as it's a pointless post now.

Parker,
I have some 1/4" home made. Better than BR in some ways.
Send me a note if you want some. (no charge)
Or pictures of what it looks like.

It's fairly easy to find 1/4" in black and grey, but not in white. I still have a few rags from some 1/4" white that I was given. If you have a source for 1/4" WHITE closed cell, I'd like to know. 3/8" is actually very common. I have plenty of that and could part with some.
